Understanding REACH: The EU's Comprehensive Chemical Regulation
REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals, a pivotal regulation enacted by the European Union to safeguard human health and the environment from the risks posed by chemical substances. Officially implemented on June 1, 2007, REACH represents one of the most ambitious and stringent chemical management frameworks globally. It shifts the burden of proof onto manufacturers, importers, and downstream users to demonstrate that chemicals are safe for their intended uses. Under REACH, companies must register substances produced or imported in quantities exceeding one ton per year, providing detailed data on their properties, hazards, and safe handling. The evaluation process involves authorities assessing this information to identify potential risks, while authorization is required for substances of very high concern (SVHCs), such as those that are carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction. Restrictions can ban or limit the use of certain chemicals altogether. This regulation not only promotes innovation in safer alternatives but also ensures transparency across supply chains, fostering a more sustainable chemical industry in Europe and beyond.

WJM's Commitment to Quality in Solid Silicone Production of POS Silicone Case
At WJM, our dedicated quality team upholds the highest standards in every aspect of solid silicone manufacturing, ensuring that Custom Silicone Products(mainly POS Protective Case In-Stock) meet and exceed international safety and performance benchmarks. From the initial selection of raw silicone materials—sourced from trusted suppliers with verified purity—to the precise formulation of masterbatches that enhance color, durability, and functionality, we implement rigorous testing protocols. During the silicone mixing phase, advanced equipment and real-time monitoring prevent inconsistencies, while the molding process employs state-of-the-art injection techniques to achieve flawless shapes and textures. Post-molding, our edge removal procedures utilize precision tools to eliminate any imperfections, guaranteeing a smooth, professional finish. Finally, in product packaging, we prioritize protective measures to maintain integrity during transit, all while adhering to eco-friendly practices. This end-to-end quality assurance not only minimizes defects but also prioritizes user safety, environmental compliance, and long-term reliability, reflecting WJM's unwavering dedication to excellence in silicone solutions.

REACH
Latest Update: WJM POS Silicone Protective Cases Awarded 2025 REACH Certification.
On December 16, 2025, Mr. Xiao Xianyuan, Director of WJM’s Quality Department, announced an update regarding the REACH certification status of our POS silicone protective cases, extending the validity period of the certification through 2026. This update serves to guarantee that the silicone products we manufacture remain in full compliance with European Union regulatory requirements. The renewal process involved a comprehensive re-evaluation of both our solid silicone raw materials and our manufacturing processes. Furthermore, it ensures that our silicone products meet the requirements regarding any newly added entries to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) or any restrictive amendments introduced under the REACH regulations. WJM’s silicone protective cases for POS terminals are specifically designed to withstand demanding operational environments—including scenarios involving the frequent use of card slots and buttons, the grease-prone conditions typical of the food and beverage industry, and the risk of physical impact or abrasion to the POS terminal's plastic housing. With thirteen years of accumulated experience in the POS silicone protective case sector, WJM maintains rigorous standards in material selection and formulation; both our color masterbatches and silicone raw materials strictly adhere to established chemical safety standards. The objective of this certification renewal is to reinforce the trust our global clientele places in our products and to ensure that our goods meet all customs clearance requirements for export to European and North American markets. We are confident that this updated certification will further solidify WJM’s reputation within the silicone manufacturing industry, bolster customer confidence, and pave the way for the development of an even broader range of silicone-based products.
